Today marked the commencement of the defense sessions for second-year MBA students presenting their master's theses. Seeking insights into the impact of their studies on both their lives and careers, we reached out to the nearly-graduated cohort. Anton Zinchenko, Director of the U4Ua Charitable Foundation, shared his initial reflections with us:
"My primary regret regarding my MBA journey is that I initiated it relatively late. Despite the wealth of experience I gained, a considerable amount of time was invested. What sets MIM apart is the presentation of solutions and tools as readily applicable in the present. Consequently, pursuing an MBA genuinely translates to saved time and resources for any company.
I appreciate the program's pragmatic approach to business education and the systematic organization of knowledge. While each of us brings individual experiences to the table, the coursework effectively organizes and aligns these diverse perspectives. Business simulations, particularly the Management Game where we competed with teams from the US, China, and Japan, proved instrumental. Success among formidable players hinges on seamless teamwork and the application of hard skills acquired during the MBA. Participation and triumph in simulations bolster self-confidence, revealing our ability to craft globally competitive projects, businesses, and products, rather than merely achieving local success.
Undoubtedly, the networking aspect yields substantial benefits. Engaging with peers facing similar challenges and sharing common interests fosters a conducive environment. Surrounded by a diverse array of businesses and managerial figures, personal development is inevitably heightened."
The faculty at MIM consistently provides invaluable materials that serve to broaden one's horizons. Some professors present challenges that contribute to the growth of the projects we engage with.
In the words of Lina Mykhailivna Khasan-Bek, our professor of financial management, "there are no small businesses: they either evolve into a large ones or face demise." This perspective has profoundly altered my perception of business – a dynamic force that requires continuous progression. A readiness to confront diverse challenges is imperative, and an MBA proves to be an invaluable asset in navigating such complexities.
